Gavin’s Heading Back to Ukraine this Christmas — Please help us help the Orphan children from Odesa

Many of you know Gavin — he paused his master’s at university and, within weeks of the escalation, went to Ukraine to help evacuate and support orphans. A few Christmases ago he bought presents for over 750 children, and he’s continued to support them from afar with supplies and regular contact.

This Christmas he’s going back.

After months in Poland, support couldn’t continue indefinitely, so many children have had to return to Ukraine.
They’re now split up, temporarily fostered and separated from their friends.
Their school is operating out of a basement for safety.
The director of the orphanage has unfortunately suffered a stress-related heart attack but is recovering well.

This Christmas matters more than ever. We’re raising as much as possible to bring supplies and some joy back into these children’s lives.

Timeline
Gavin leaves the UK on Friday 19th of December
Aim: to be in Ukraine and delivering presents over Christmas 🎁

Fundraiser: 1 hour Halloween Laser Tag at Ratho Community Centre 👻🔦
Date: Saturday 1st of November
Sessions: Two one-hour sessions
Price: £8 per child, per session
Intended time slot: 6:00–7:00 pm however we may run an additional session from 7pm -8pm if numbers suit.
